Probleme beim Firmware-Update eines Noxon iRadio
Diese Woche habe ich ein altes Internetradio geschenkt bekommen. Es handelt sich um das Noxon iRadio von Terratec. Nach kurzem Test nervte mich schon die veraltete Firmware mit ihren diversen Bugs und veralteten Senderlisten. Ein kurzer Blick auf die Internetseite von Terratec verriet mir, dass es eine wesentlich neuere Firmware gibt als die installierte. Also beschloss ich das Firmware-Update durchzuführen und damit fing das Drama an.
Auf der Support-Seite unter www.my-noxon.net steht ziemlich genau beschrieben was zu tun ist. Als erstes musste ich feststellen, dass meine Firmware so alt ist, dass sie kein Update über die Weboberfläche des Radios anbietet. Für solche Fälle gibt es vom Hersteller die Software NOXON Firmware Manager. Diese ist aber offiziell nur für Windows XP oder Vista freigegeben. Sie lässt sich aber problemlos unter Windows 7/10 installieren. Wenn man die Software anschließend im Kompatibilitätsmodus und „Als Administrator“ ausführt, dann ist die Software lauffähig und findet auch das Radio im Netzwerk. Dazu müssen der Rechner, von dem das Update durchgeführt werden soll, und das Radio im selben Netzwerk sein. Das Radio sollte am besten per Kabel (LAN) angeschlossen werden und nicht per WLAN.
In meinem Fall sollte ich laut Hersteller zunächst ein sogenanntes Bootloader-Update durchführen und anschließend das Firmware-Update. Die entsprechenden Firmware-/Bootloader-Dateien habe ich dazu heruntergeladen.
Das Problem: Immer wenn ich mit dem Update-Vorgang begann, versuchte die Software verzweifelt das Radio in den „Download Mode“ zu versetzen. Das Radiodisplay wird schwarz und die Software zeigt nach kurzer Zeit die Fehlermeldung: „Cannot set wireless audio Adapter in download mode“.
In den darauf folgenden 4 Stunden versuchte ich alles denkbare. Ich lud mir ältere Versionen des Firmware Managers herunter. Ich versuchte es mit älteren Firmware Versionen, die aber immer noch neuer waren als die meines Radios. Und am Ende meiner Verzweifelung organisierte ich mir noch einen alten Windows XP-PC, um dort den Firmware Manager zu installieren, so wie es der Hersteller eigentlich vorsieht. Nichts half.
Dann kam mir noch eine letzte Idee. In den Log-Files des Update Managers konnte man sehen, dass die Software versucht über sogenannte Broadcasts im Netzwerk zu kommunizieren. Man kann sich das so vorstellen, als brüllt der PC einfach ins Netzwerk und schaut einfach mal, ob sich irgendein Noxon Internetradio meldet. Da PC und Radio in meinem Fall über eine FritzBox 3270 miteinander verbunden waren, vermutete ich, dass die FritzBox diese Broadcasts blockieren könnte. Ich baute die FritzBox 3270 aus und steckte PC und Radio zusammen auf einen kleinen Netgear GS105E Mini-Switch. Anschließend startete ich das Firmware Update und siehe da, es funktionierte.
Falls also jemand von euch auf die Idee kommen sollte sich – wie ich – mit einem fast 10 Jahre alten Noxon iRadio zu beschäftigen, dann kann dieser Tipp hier mit Sicherheit weiterhelfen.

Mein Problem:
Ich habe ein Noxon i300 mit Firmware 2.1.11.
Das Gerät findet keine Internetsender mehr, bzw. kann ich gar nicht suchen.
Wenn ich in das Menü Internetradio gehe, gibt es keine weiteren Untermenüs.
Ich sehe nur die 2 Sender die ich mal in den Favoriten hatte, mehr ist nicht da.
Rücksetzen auf Werkseinstellungen hilft nicht.
Bleibt nur noch Firmwareupdate.
Aber das Gerät wird vom Firmwaremanager nicht gefunden.
Vielleicht habt ihr noch eine Idee?

Das Noxon wird einfach nicht erkannt.
Weder angeschlossen an der FritzBox mit DHCP, noch mit fester IP über Direktverbindung über einen Switch.
Die Verbindung habe ich natürlich mittels ping getestet.

Ich habe noch ein zweites Noxon, welches aber einwandfrei funktioniert, aber nur über die FB im Netz ist,

kann mir jemand helfen? Hab bei meine alten NOXON iRadio die neuste, also über 9 Jahre alte Firmware aktualisiert. Die neuste für das Teil ist ja auch schon 8 Jahre alt. Nach der Aktualisierung war mein WLAN Radio nur noch ein LAN Radio. Hab dann nochmal die ältere Bootloader Software draufgespielt und siehe da, das WLAN war wieder aktiv. Es fehlten nur bis auf den Favoriten Ordner alle Ordner. Ich die Firmware wieder aktualisiert und das Menü ist wieder vollständig……aber nur als LAN nutzbar da WLAN nicht mehr funzt und in der Netzwerkeinstellung gar nicht mehr angeboten wird. Nur noch wired connection!
Kann mir jemand Helfen ?

mein Problem ist ähnlich, nur habe ich nur Windows 10 als Betriebssystem. Kompatibilitätsmodus+Administrator klappt nicht. Hat wer eine Idee sie es klappem könnte?

über die Googlesuche zur Lösung meines Problems mit ebenfalls einem NoxonIRadio (der älteren Generation) bin ich auf Dich gestossen.
Falls meine Vorgehensweise der Kontaktaufnahme nicht den „Regeln“ Deiner Seite entspricht, bitte ich dies zu entschuldigen und mich auf entsprechende Fehler hinzuweisen. Ich bin in PC-technischen Dingen eher als Laie mit Grundwissen einzustufen und habe daher vermutlich nicht stets die richtigen Begriffe parat, weshalb meine Problembeschreibung sicher einigen Raum einnehmen kann. Daher zunächst die Frage: Ist eine ausführliche Problembeschreibung mit Ziel eine Lösung für eine Laien zu liefern erlaubt.

Ich Narr hab mich auch mal an so einem Teil versucht. :-(
Und nun scheit es tot zu sein. Ich habe jetzt den BL 6834 drauf ber keine FW mehr. Der Firmware Manager sagt das Gerät ist nun im Download Mode. Und auf dem Display steht http://… später escheit ein IP Adresse die mir nichts sagt.
Ich würde es gerne noch einmal mit eine alter FW + BL probieren, nur hab ich leider keine. Hat da wer eine Idee?

Kann mir einer freundlicherweise eine Anleitung geben ?? Muss ich die Fritz Box abschalten oder einfach nur den Laptop mit dem Radio verbinden?

du musst dein Laptop mit dem Radio direkt verbinden (mit dem gekreuzten Netzwerkkabel). Es darf keine FritzBox oder ähnlichen zwischengeschaltet sein.
